Digital Forensic as an Integrate approach

As cyber crimes turn out to be more persistent in today’s society, government system and corporate organizations struggle with the need to execute control systems with the accurate set of securities and safety measures. There are some particular policies and guidelines rapidly being developed by parliaments and boards in an effort to stop these cybercrimes from rising out of control. Digital forensics has become the most important part of the enforcement mechanisms used in tackling and reporting these cybercrimes. The rapid advancement of digital devices has had a major impact on the digital forensics area with cybercrimes surfacing just as rapidly. In earlier times, having no set standards to guide digital forensics practitioners operating in the field has led to issues regarding the reliability, verifiability and consistency of digital evidence when presented in court cases.

Digital forensics methodologies are therefore not only mandatory to put on digital evidence in cases where the crime is committed using a digital device but also where digital evidence is needed for the cases initially not entirely a digital crime. It is considered as a new multidimensional approach bringing together the legal, technical, ethical and educational dimensions to form an integrated framework and method for investigations involving digital evidence related to cybercrime. The primary purpose of these designs is to generate a solution to issues surrounding digital evidence acquisition and subsequent presentation in court and outlines guidelines for making this type of evidence more strong while presented in court.

Following some designs developed using an integrated approach incorporating all four core facets (legal, technical, ethical and educational) of the digital forensics field to ensure the strengthen the process and procedures used by digital forensics experts worldwide.
